Introduction

Teaching Politics Techniques & Technologies is devoted to increasing the quality of teaching and learning about politics in higher education settings.  It supports the work of the H-Teachpol discussion list and the American Political Science Association's Section on Undergraduate Education.  Users of Teaching Politics are strongly encouraged to become members of both. All of the material on Teaching Politics is copyrighted by its author (or other entity, as indicated) but is free to the public. Teaching Politics is published by William J. Site Requirements

Teaching Politics is designed to work with Netscape Navigator 2.0 (or newer), or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 (or newer).   The "Go" button next to the navigation menu needs to be used only in older versions of Netscape Navigator. Teaching Politics requires a JavaScript compatible browser (for the navigation menu)--and one which interprets tables and forms.

Some content on Teaching Politics is in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) or Real Networks RealAudio/RealVideo. Viewing either form of content requires the installation of a free plug-in viewer. The PDF viewer (version 3 or newer required) can be obtained at the Acrobat web site. The Real player (version G2 or newer required) can be obtained at the Real Networks web site. Note that in most cases, you have to exit your web browser after downloading the plug-in and restart it after installing the plug-in. Further details on installation can be found at the Adobe and Real Networks sites.

Submitting New Material

Most sections of Teaching Politics are open for the submission of new material. Also, new sections will be considered for addition to the site.  If you have material to submit, please contact William J. Ball at ball@tcnj.edu.
