Hazel Carter donned an Army uniform.

Description: "Hazel Carter of Douglas, AZ, donned an Army uniform to stay with her soldier husband. She stowed away on the ship to France, was discovered and sent home. She died while her husband, Cpl. John Carter, was still overseas." Ca. 1918. IFS.
