I am 56, and concerned about the "content" of textbooks. Socrates stated "all democracies fail, and went on to state why. Federalist Papers #10 states "--democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives, as they have been violent in their deaths." The rational of a Confederate Republic is than discussed. Our Constitution declares us a "Confederate Republic". The US has been called a Democracy so long, it thinks it is one. Students need to be taught fact. Students should not be confused by erroneous text. They will see things like this excellent site on the internet. Lexrex http://www.lexrex.com/functions/table.htm . When I was given this link, I hoped that a national American Government Education (for all the people) site could come of this. American people no longer understand government, and the government no longer understands it is a Confederate Republic. Thanks for this site and discussion. Bruce
