Welcome to the first Teaching Politics Virtual Conference. The conference took place from April 19 to April 30, 1999. Although the conference is over, here you will have the opportunity to read, watch, and view the discussion of 20 presentations on a wide variety of topics concerning the teaching of political science. Presentations include thought-provoking keynotes, more detailed individual papers, and informal roundtables. Most presentations are provided in both text and video formats.

A technical note on the videos: The videos are in Real Networks G2 format. To watch them you will need the Real G2 player installed on your web browser. A free version of this player for Windows and Macintosh can be downloaded from the Real Networks web site (http://www.real.com).

We encourage you to browse the presentations via the conference program and view the conference discussion about the presentations. Links to these areas can be found at the top and bottom of each conference page.

The conference has been organized by: William J. Ball at The College of New Jersey with assistance from Joseph Cammarano, Providence College and Patrick O'Neil, Northern Arizona University.
