| paper |

Case studies are among the most effective current teaching tools, extending the realm of students' personal experience by creating situations involving real decisions about important issues. Many current students enter the workplace unprepared for some critical issues related to gender. The purpose of this paper is to stimulate the writing of cases, by describing a process for the development of cases, using cases related to gender issues in the workplace as an example, The paper provides, as a starting point, an overview of gender issues in the workplace, suggests sources of materials for case study situations, and summarizes sample cases on gender issues in the workplace. A list of useful "criteria" to use in selecting topics for gender cases is also incorporated.
