"Patterns of Activities and Attitudes Towards the AmeriCorps Model of Youth Service by East Texas High School Seniors" reports the findings of a survey of East Texas high school seniors done in the Spring of 1995. The survey of activities showed that roughly half of high school seniors are working full or part-time, 79 percent were active in campus-based activities and only about 35 percent reporting any community service involvement in the past year. The attitudinal portion showed that most (56 percent) responded positively towards involvement with the AmeriCorps model of service.
