Racheter, Don. 1995. "Mock Trial = Classical Liberal Arts Education in Action." Presented at the Annual Meeting of the American Political Science Association
The Chicago Hilton, August 31 - September 3, 1995.

| paper |

This papers provides a point of departure for evaluating the contributions of a new form of experiential education, participation in intercollegiate Mock Trials, as a bridge between specialization and technical competence and the classical liberal arts. Just as law school is the closest of the professional schools to the under-graduate liberal arts, so too is this form of law-related education closest to the professed goals of liberal arts educators as exemplified in skills listings.
